COVID passports are no longer required
to enter Azerbaijan

   Some restrictions of the special quarantine regime of COVID-19 have been removed in Azerbaijan.
   On March 27, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On additional measures to remove certain restrictions of the special quarantine regime”.
   “From 06:00 on March 28, 2023, all foreign 
citizens and citizens of other countries permanently residing in these countries, as well as stateless persons, are allowed to enter / leave Azerbaijan”, – said in resolution. Now, without a COVID passport celebration houses, sports and health facilities, large shopping centers, cafe&restaurants, facilities, hotels can be visited and travel by foreign transport.

   Want to remind, that since March 2020, a special regime, including a bunch of social isolation measures, has been applied in Azerbaijan, and a little bit later, a special quarantine regime was applied. Mass events were completely banned, classes at schools and universities were canceled, shopping and entertainment centers, parks and public recreation areas were closed. After the weakening of quarantine measures in the country, COVID passports were introduced.

   COVID passports was been mandatory when visiting catering establishments, hotels and shopping centers in Azerbaijan has been mandatory since September 1, 2021.
