Railway communication between Azerbaijan and Georgia has been restored!

   The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced a decision to resume rail service with Georgia. Earlier, on May 18, 2026, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and a number of bilateral agreements were signed.
   ADY (Azerbaijan Railways) announced that rail service between the countries will be restored on May 26, 2026.
   The land borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan still remain closed until July 1, 2026.
