What goods should be declared on Azerbaijani border?

   When crossing the border, many people do not always fully know and understand what customs declaration is? And what goods need to be declared know even less.
   By Decision No. 305 dated October 14, 2013, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan approved “Preferential and simplified rules for the movement of goods not intended for industrial or commercial purposes by individuals across the customs border”. These rules provide for the following list of goods subject to written declaration by individuals when moving across the customs border of Azerbaijan:
   1. Goods that exceed the limits established by these Rules or do not comply with the terms of these Rules.
   2. Goods sent as unaccompanied baggage and carrier.
   3. Goods temporarily held in excess of the limits established by subparagraph 2.1.2 of these Rules.
   4. Cars.
   5. Precious metals and precious stones over the limits (20 grams of gold, jewelry and other household items made from it, a set of diamonds weighing 0.5 carats imported for personal use by an individual who has reached the age of 18 – once during a calendar month ).
   6. Foreign currency and securities in excess of the equivalent of 10.000$.
   7. Goods for crossing the customs border of which a license or permit is required.
   8. Cash national currency in the amount of 20.000 AZN and more and securities denominated in national currency.
   9. Mobile phones and other wireless communication mechanisms brought into the territory of Azerbaijan by individuals during the trip, as well as by mail.
