They want to get their Azerbaijani citizenship back. To do this, they must meet certain requirements and submit documents to the right authorities.
Recently I talked about “How to get Azerbaijani nationality?“ and on the procedure for “Revocation and deprivation of Azerbaijani citizenship“.
If you are reading this article, then you are probably not familiar with the procedure of restoration of citizenship.
Well, let me explain…
Eligibility for citizenship restoration
According to the Law of Azerbaijan “On Citizenship”, people who lost their Azerbaijani citizenship might get it back if they meet certain conditions. Factors like why they lost citizenship and their current situation matter. Generally, applicants need to have lived in Azerbaijan for a while, have a steady income, and agree to follow the republic’s laws. “Regulations on the consideration of issues of citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the rules for their solution” regulates the detailed procedure for submitting and considering applications for the restoration of citizenship.
